Cheryl Yip is a senior associate in the Real Estate practice in Tanglau's Hong Kong office. Cheryl advises on property-related litigation (including compulsory sale applications, resumption compensation and building appeals), commercial real estate, first-hand sale legislation compliance, project conveyancing, strategic acquisitions for redevelopment purpose, Government leases matters, commercial tenancies and leasing matters.

  • Acted for Dairy Farm in the successful enforcement of a covenant for right of way against the Government in relation to its staff quarters in Pokfulam in the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal
  • Acted for GAW Capital in the successful challenge on ex-gratia compensation policy in the New Territories against the Government in the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal
  • Advising developers in Hong Kong on the sale of first-hand properties (including residential, office, commercial, mixed-use composite developments). Selected large-scale projects: THE HEADLAND RESIDENCES, Uptown East, Villa La Plage, Eight Star Street, Ultima, 45 Tai Tam Road, Ayton, Silicon Hill/ University Hill, Garden Crescent, Regency Bay, Mount Regency, Mangrove, PORTAS, ONE TWO ONE, iCity.
