Overview

Wilson Wong has more than 30 years of experience in real estate finance work. He has extensive experience advising on a wide range of domestic and international real estate loan and other debt-related transactions. These includes syndicated loans, cross-border and multi-currency financing in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland and London involving Hong Kong law, property acquisition and development financing and debts restructuring. Wilson acts for local and international commercial banks, financial institutions, private equity funds and corporate borrowers from the real estate sector.

Experience

Represented:
  • A group of Asia-based financial institutions in financing an acquisition under a cash partial offer of up to 75% of Chong Hing Bank’s issued shares. The acquisition is the first PRC non-financial institution to acquire a Hong Kong licensed bank listed in Hong Kong stock exchange.
  • A group of Hong Kong financial institutions in financing a shares subscription by a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) authorized under Hong Kong law of an offshore company which indirectly holds Guangzhou International Finance Centre (Guangzhou IFC).
  • The Hong Kong legal adviser to a group of Asia-based financial institutions in construction financing of Grand Lisboa Palace hotel resort in Cotai, Macau.
